Rue Désirée is a story of leather, colour and freedom.
I create bags and accessories in small batches in my workshop in the Beaujolais, with one simple idea: to make pieces that don’t look like everyone else’s.
A leather you choose.
A colour you own.
Embroidery that tells a story.
Because a bag can be so much more than a bag. It can be a signature.
02 — The story
I grew up between Lyon and the Pierres Dorées, surrounded by women who sewed, created and transformed materials. I watched. I observed. Never imagining that one day I would do the same.
And then there was a machine. An old Italian Necchi, inherited almost by chance.
I didn’t really know how to sew leather. I hadn’t been to leather-making school. So I learned. Trial after trial, bag after bag, I built Rue Désirée.
Today, I still make every piece with that same desire: to do things differently.
03 — The craft
Materials chosen for their feel, their character and the way they age beautifully.
A machine, thread, lots of precision… and that little touch that makes every piece personal.
Cutting, assembling, sewing, embroidering, starting again.
Every piece is made in the workshop.
04 — The material
I love leather for what it is: a living, durable material that develops a patina and keeps the traces of life.
I’d rather make less, but make pieces you keep for a long time, wear a lot and end up getting attached to.
